Guys, Hello from Honduras!! Just a comment before I comment in your comments (Crazy, huh?) Checking the Billboard Hot 100; 2 weeks ago there were 22 Bad Bunny & 12 Future songs in the chart...this week: There are 17 Bad Bunny & 12 Harry Styles, and about 5 other singers with 3 or 4 songs each... sincerely, I would like to know what you guys think of such a chart...

CM

Cheyanne Moore

0

I dislike these charts, I am old school I think its insane to have so many songs from a single artist simply because they are streaming it. Would love to see Kate Bush hit number 1 in Honduras too.
But, if you are young, I would expect you do not mind 22 Bad Bunny songs and 12 Future and 12 Styles songs, I mean thats 3 acts with almost half the chart places.

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

0

Yeah... 3 acts robbing the opportunity to other good deals... I am 52, not Young anymore than my spirit, and my passion for good music... But Just the fact to have 22 spots for one soloist act... Overcomes my interest and my wish for Reading such a chart 😩

avatar

Manlio Sanna

1

Does anyone know why Kate Bush is only #8, despite being #2 on Audio Streams and #2 in sales?

avatar

Manlio Sanna

1

Are they applying ACR to her song?

avatar

rayever

4

yeah it’s on permanent ACR, without it it would’ve been #2 this week

TB

The Boy

2

Ava Max????

avatar

thierry henon

2

THE MOTTO by the great AVA MAX has just been in the chart for a full 6 months!! And the single is still sounding as fresh as it when it was first released last year!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

GOODBYE by MIMI WEBB only at number 74??!! How come? Her previous singles always managed ( most of them at least) to enter the Top 30 on their first week of release!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

I am guessing that none of DERMOT or MANESKIN new singles will reach the Top 40 after all!! Both singles deserve more success!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

After an amazing 14 weeks in the row inside the Top 20 my lovely MIMI is out of the Top 50 ! HOUSE ON FIRE is definitely one of my favorite singles of hers....Really hope for full album released this year!

avatar

thierry henon

5

TOM GRENNAN at number 30..YIPPEE! Am so happy for the lad...Great single, great voice...just an amazing artist!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

Finally HOLD MY HAND by the amazing GAGA is climbing the chart this week!! about time her great new single is reaching the Top 30!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

Was expected MARIAH CAREY to claim another Top 20 this week...shame really..3 weeks at number 21..so close to reach the Top 20!!

avatar

thierry henon

2

Who is at number 20? still...i love the title!!

avatar

thierry henon

3

ELLA HENDERSON is having another great week! 2 Top 20 this week! Love that girl..never understood the reason why HURRICANE never charted in the UK!! Amazing track..

avatar

thierry henon

2

i am so happy to see SAM RYDER remaining in the Top 20 for another week!

avatar

thierry henon

2

another week with 2 top 10 for ED SHEERAN...and among these 2 singles, his weakest songs yet!!

avatar

thierry henon

9

KATE BUSH is back into the Top 10! OMG, amazing feat for such an amazing artist...RUNNING UP THAT HILL is just a masterpiece!

avatar

thierry henon

2

And my baby girl LIZZO did it again! She reached a new peak at number 3! I really really hope she can managed to climb one more place next week! and even being our new number 1? i know..i am only dreaming but ABOUT TIME is so catchy..the video is amazing...

avatar

thierry henon

2

I would have never expected HARRY STYLES to remain that long at number 1! I am happy but AS IT WAS is definitely not his best single!!

avatar

Ronny Prilla

Burna Boy "last last" has all the potential to be song of the summer

SM

Steve Morgan

4

The best songs in the current top 100 in no particular order.

Lizzo - About Time
Sam Ryder - Spaceman
Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill .... I'm more than old enough to remember this first time round in 1985
David Guetta, Becky Hill, Ella Henderson - Crazy What Love Can Do
Harry Styles - As It Was
Jax Jones featuring MNEK - Where Did You Go
Lady Gaga - Hold My Hand
Tom Grennan - Remind Me
George Ezra - Anyone For You
Florence & The Machine - My Love
The Weeknd - Blinding Lights
Liam Gallagher - Everything's Electric
Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under

The peak of RUTH is wrong, it uses the peak of the 2012 remix.

Oi Sheeran. You're in at least 6 songs minimum on here (Actually, 10 I think. Can't count). Stop being greedy!

I'm relieved The Kunts got in to the top 20. decent going, considering what happened to their Youtube channel. Gutted I couldn't help more with playing the songs on streaming, but I bought all the tracks and I've done all I could so that's all there is to it.

Also, charts, the Kunts are artists too. himself asked to pleasure Dr. Fox for a position in the charts a while back and I don't want him to have to taste any more cheese to get treated better on the charts. Come on.

K

Kiesling

3

I can see Heaven Takes You Home and Everything But You quietly re-entering the top 100. Two of my favorite songs of this year so far

avatar

Sakgra

8

wow congrats to kate bush charted for 3 times and different decades

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

4 times actually... 1985, 2012, 2014, 2022

avatar

Sakgra

0

oh yes i forgot 2014

avatar

Martin Anthony Hodgkins

11

Great to see Running up that Hill renter the top 10 this week for Kate Bush, however it’s peak position was 3 in 1985 not 6 which it reached in 2012.

avatar

Velvet Android

5

It's an unfortunate side-effect of the confused nature of the charts in the streaming era, and I presume of OCC having no fixed policy in place for dealing with such things. They've deemed that this re-entry inherits the chart run of the 2012 reissue, it seems, simply because that was the most recent appearance of the song. Overall though there appears no real rhyme or reason to whether the weeks on chart of modern-day re-entries like this get appended to a song's original chart run or separately, from what I can see.

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

Such a nice song ...is it the 3rd time that it comes back to the charts? I remember it from 1985
I checked and is actually its 4th time in the charts...1985, 2012, 2014, & 2022

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

0

It doesn´t show the real amount of weeks in the chart...but then, why MR BRIGHTSIDE shows 317 weeks? is there an explanation for that?

CM

Cheyanne Moore

0

Its not even the same version of the song, the 2014 version is quite different.

avatar

DJF VLOGS

avatar

Joshua Sombra

1

'As It Was' might be going on ACR next week and doing an Olivia Rodrigo by falling hard as it did with Olivia's song 'Driver's License' (Dropped from 1-18 after nine weeks on No.1. So I am afraid it might be its last week on No.1 as much as I don't like the song.

avatar

Rob Parkinson

0

Why would it be going on acr next week? It had a substantial rise 2 weeks ago (highest week since the week it was released) with the album release so it's only on 1st week of decline? Whereas Peru has been declining aplenty, that much so its nearly out of the top 10 but still avoiding acr

avatar

doppope

5

Why has every song in the top forty got a link to buy or listen apart from The Kunts? Play fair

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

0

....it goes all over the chart...

avatar

ldma666

1

Why have you censored the word Nonce....as in "Prince Andrew is a Sweaty Nonce by The Kunts" Also do you want some Buy/Listen links? I'm sure he's given them to you. Also I have a pic of him if you need it.

avatar

Piran

Glad to see ‘Potion’ starting off in the Top 20! 😍

It won’t become the commercial powerhouse that ‘One Kiss’ was, but I don’t mind as long as it’s a stable summer radio hit. :)

I just wish young thug wasn't on it :( but it is a bop!

Burna Boy "last last" is steadily heading into the top 40... Hope it's still around there when the album drops

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

Love that song!! 11/10 for me!! If I had a chart it will stick in the top spot instantly!! 😍😍😍

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

agreed in that!! Dua´s voice is more than enough for the lyrics... It is a moment!!

avatar

Piran

1

The response here hasn’t been the best so far, so let’s hope it can grow on at least a few people here. :)

avatar

Piran

1

Possibly! An album boost soon would definitely get it there. :)

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

It will grow in some of them (hopefully 😃), as they listen to the song more times...it has just begun its run!!

avatar

Piran

0

I expect at least a Top 10 for it at some point in the summer!

Hopefully it makes up for how much ‘By Your Side’ underperformed. :/

Agreed... By your Side... Love it!

There were many excellent songs in the Eurovision contest, as welll in The San Remo, don´t you think, Kiesling?

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

Such a nice song!! Snap!

K

Kiesling

0

Exactly. After each Semi final, I found myself listening and downloading most of the songs from the tournament. I was actually hoping for Brividi to win after it won the San Remo but top 10 is still good :)

K

Kiesling

1

Just shows us that there were a lot of songs the general public liked from Eurovision

How was your holidays friend? I hope you've had a great time!. You know...its always a pleasure to greet or chat with u every Sunday 😊😊

avatar

Piran

2

Thanks Dami!

I had an amazing time away, thank you. :)

How have you been keeping?

avatar

Piran

1

I’m surprised ‘Space Man’ was the only significant hit to come out of it this year. :/

avatar

Luis Gerardo Amador

1

I also expected Brividi in the final top 3 round... But Chanel's song is a banger and its choreo is fantástic...the visuals, the sound... Love that song! 😂

K

Kiesling

0

Yeah, I can appreciate the song and the choreography a lot

K

Kiesling

2

A lot of the charts of the EBU members have actually debuted Space Man (Belgium, UK, Sweden.... )

avatar

Piran

1

Oh, I meant that I’m surprised that there weren’t any big Eurovision hits in the UK chart!

Only ‘Stefania’ barely made the Top 40 despite winning the contest, but even that faded out relatively quick. :/

K

Kiesling

2

They liked it because they were supporting Ukraine and the songs natural vibe. But if they don't understand the lyrics, it may most likely fade quickly like what's happening to the song now

avatar

Piran

16

‘About Time’ could honestly be a future #1 if it hangs in there until ‘As It Was’ goes on ACR!

I actually hope it can get there given how much the song grew on me. :)

avatar

rayever

3

Go has a remix coming on Monday so that could potentially boost it

I hope About Time gets a big remix soon, maybe with Megan Thee Stallion or Cupcakke 👀.

C

cupcakke would be a good move on lizzo's part due to how popular she is on tiktok with all the cupcakke remixes! But lizzo & meghan would be incredible

avatar

Joshua Sombra

It probably has potential to go No.1 week or Lizzos has potential to top the charts as well next week.

Yeah, Lizzo & Megan Thee Stallion would sound great!

I really like "Go" ... beautiful song, great vocals on Cat Burns

YES QUEEN CUPCAKKE 😍

avatar

Megan Thee Stallion would be a good fit, CupCakke would just be hilarious! :P

11 remixes?? crazy. huh? 😁

What on earth defines the amazing success of As It Was? It's also #1 in my charts. And in The Netherlands. And the USA, Everywhere, it seems. Is it the singing, the arrangement, the song, the lyrics, Harry himself? Or even the Christmassy bells at 2'15"-2'19"?

Good to see One Republic there at 96 with I ain't worried, banging tune. They have been releasing some awesome music - I'm still listening to sunshine from last year, even more so now the warm weather is here. Also great to see a rise for Sigrid and BMTH ,hopefully Sigalas new track can climb up next week it is another banger. Disappointed with Calvin and Dua not feeling it 😕 both have done amazing tracks before but this is just missing something which makes it special. Great for Kate Bush, absolute classic getting heard again
