ooh, someone’s late as usual. i’ll just do a traffic light review.

🔴 (negative)
1) commitment issues, patience, and all you ever wanted continue to fall.
2) sadly, i don’t get the appeal for body. i like drill music but this just isn’t it.
3) didn’t know didn’t really impress me either. still, it’s not as bad as the disaster that was you want me, from 2016.
4) just found out that streets and latest trends are going on acr next week... noooo!

🟠 (mixed)
1) i don’t mind montero staying at number 1 for another week, but it better not stay there forever, or else i’ll be tired of it.
2) peaches has climbed to the runner-up spot! this might end up in the green section someday, with how much it’s growing on me.
3) on one hand, i’m glad that let’s go home together didnt move at all, but on the other hand, i’m still disappointed it’s this high up.
4) i’m indifferent on the slight fall for good without! it’s cooling off on me a lot, but i still think it’s okay.
5) head & heart and what’s next fell out the top 40.
6) the snuts got the number 1 album this week - only here because i haven’t heard it yet.

🟢 (positive)
1) heat waves is moving closer to the top 20! i love this song so much, i hope it gets there.
2) i’m also loving the gains for heartbreak anniversary, rasputin, black hole, and ferrari horses.
3) deja vu is the highest new entry of the week! it’s not in the same tier as drivers license but i’m still buzzing it’s here.
4) the business falls again, even if it’s just one place down. i’ve always despised this trash so i hope it goes.
5) i’m really rooting for summer 91 to be the next big edm smash! it climbed to number 64 this week, so i really hope it enters the top 40 soon.

thanks for reading! :)

Love the way that any message that criticises this unlistenable chart pap is deleted within seconds. Never mind, in a few years you will all grow up and discover proper music by proper musicians. Look forward to it when you put away your childish things.

What an exciting top 40. Up 1, down 1, non mover, up 2, down 2. Pathetic. Still, no better than the trash on this joke of a chart deserves. 😂

1

Top 10 of the year so far - Week 15
1 (1) Kid Laroi - Without You 940 (899)

2 (3) Tiesto - The Business 925 (856)

3 (2) Shane Codd - Get Out Of My Head 896 (866)
4 (5) Olivia Rodrigo - Drivers License 885 (837)

5 (4) Meduza/Dermot Kennedy - Paradise 874 (843)

6 (7) Anne-Marie/KSI/Digital Farm Animals - Don't Play 839 (772)

7 (8) Nathan Evans - Wellerman 812 (739)
8 (6) Travis Scott/HVME - Goosebumps 810 (773)

9 (9) Justin Beiber - Anyone 778 (733)
10 (12) Weeknd - Blinding Lights 731 (693)

10 (13) Doja Cat - Streets 731 (681)

Only 8 singles have been on chart for all 15 weeks after Tate McCrae (You Broke Me First) and CJ (Whoopty) drop out. Blinding Lights beats follow-up single Save Your Tears into the top 10 of 2021 for the first time. Doja Cat seems to reach the lowest possible top 10 peak (equal 10th) as the aforementioned Save Your Tears or Friday look set to replace the equal 10's as the lowest of those 2 is just 4 points below this week's top 10 threshold.

Only one Head & Heart in the top 40 now. The better one remains if you ask me.

‘Didn’t Know’ is finally in the Top 40! Hopefully this continues the path of success for EDM hits in 2021. :)

Speaking of which, so many good songs for the genre came out today, especially ‘Life Goes On’ & ‘Got You Covered’!

Outside of dance music, I'm absolutely buzzing to see 'Deja Vu' as the highest new entry of the week.

Haven't listened to "Didn't Know" but I will listen to it in the coming days. I'm so backwards in music that it's this week I listened to "Latest Trends" for the first time and tbh... I loved it 😍😍
Can this song get better ??

K

Kiesling

3

Compared to "Holy" & "Anyone". Peaches is far superior. I also liked "Hold On"

PM

Paul Mount

1

Not many songs "get better" once they have been released. Most of this stuff is unlistenable garbage.

K

Kiesling

3

You're not a fan of latest trends or most of the songs on the charts are you ?

avatar

Piran

2

'Latest Trends' didn't really connect with me that much sadly, but I could definitely see you liking 'Didn't Know', especially if you're into EDM. :)

avatar

Piran

2

I haven't heard that one yet! I like Imanbek in general though, so I'm expecting it to be at least decent. :)

K

Kiesling

3

I'm actually a major EDM Fan. Infact, I'm going to start posting my EDM 10 charts on here starting next week and see if you guys like it

K

Kiesling

3

I've heard 'Didn't Know' now and honestly it's not really hitting me. It's basically another Tom Zanetti formula for a song. (Good Bass, Female Backup Singer & Zanetti rapping) (Just Like "You Want Me")

avatar

Piran

2

I agree that it's very conventional coming from him, but I don't know, I've never really minded his style of EDM! :P

avatar

Piran

I'll definitely comment on it later! :D

I'm doing good but saddened by the loss of a hip hop legend, DMX and also sad to hear about Prince Phillip. 🙏 Rest in peace.

avatar

Piran

5

Hey Marco! :D

Same! A sad day for the UK & for hip-hop fans.

avatar

Marcothedonjuan

6

It's very sad indeed. I remember being in school and everyone was saying how talented DMX was and everyone was buying his album and playing it in the school parking lot. Good times. I'm sad for the Queen, I know she loves Prince Phillip dearly. :(

PM

Paul Mount

0

Yes, DMX was such a role model with his addiction to drugs, his huge list of criminal convictions including one for animal cruelty. Let's mourn this terrible loss to music.

avatar

Piran

3

Yeah, he was by The Queen's side for over 70 years, so I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this is for her right now. :/

As for DMX, I honestly didn't know that much about him, other than that he was a highly influential R&B artist to many!
