Mark my words Justin

I get the feeling that life is worth living until I hear your voice.

What do you mean? you may ask.

Well I’ll show you what effect your latest album is having on the children with no sense.

What purpose does it serve to keep on singing when you are under no pressure to carry on?

Surely you have made enough money for yourself and your record company by now.

Everybody knows you love yourself and yes it is too late to say you are sorry

I’m certain there will never be a time when I think where are u now, so please for the sake of music just stop.

I wish there was at least one song on here that was rock/metal. Maybe even punk, if anything.
Also R.I.P. Lemmy.

Hello seriously needs to fall back it's been hogging the top five for much too long, and liking One Direction's new "History" single trying out the Justin Bieber "Love Yourself" method of suttle acoustic production, it might enter the top three and it is most likely to enter the top five, let's see shall we!

Adele must drop in the Album Charts too.

Wait, so Uptown Funk fails to re-renter but bull songs like Focus, Black Magic and Writing's On The Wall get back in the top 40? Stupid, but at least Locked Away managed it.

12 to 61 for Louisa Johnson. If Ben Haenow and Fleur East are struggling in the album charts one year later, I can't see how she'll do any better. It seems like The X Factor is dead now.

Good news all round then.

For once I agree with you. Forever Young is actually a rubbish song.

BF

you can blame Fleur's album flopping on Syco. She released her debut single 2 weeks before the album came out and still no 2nd single.. With the right promotion, the album could have done way better. At least her single did really good

Wow, great to see Black Magic rise back to #30, this song is still a jam! And "Love Me Like You" reaching a new peak <3 Too bad it wasn't #10 tho =( but we'll take it lol Go, Little Mix!

Was mightily fed up with Cowell ruling the Christmas charts for so long but I'm not sure this alternative is any better. A song that gets virtually no airplay enters at No.1 off the back of a social media campaign, then plummets the next week and is quickly forgotten. Suddenly the Christmas No. 1 has gone from the most important of the year to the most throwaway. Band Aid was a charity song too, obviously, but in that case the musicality seemed as important as the cause (hence why it's still played 31 years later). Now it appears not to matter if a Christmas charity song is actually any good or not; it's just about a quick flurry of publicity. And we wonder why it's only the oldies that keep getting played over the festive season...

Official proof that the top 40 is dead. Can you imagine the NHS choir on ANY christmas album?

I'm already sick of Love Yourself, give us something new.

avatar

Simeon Davenport

There isn't really any song at the moment that can throw it out of the top spot. Might be #1 for a couple more weeks.

M

Marco

0

Before too long songs will be holding at No1 for weeks at a time not because they are great songs but due to streaming and a lack of any competition.

avatar

I Am A Stegosaurus

0

Exactly, but I'm getting bored of it too. Almost as much as I'm bored of Adele in the Album chart.

avatar

tataditiditin

Currently, "Stitches" is the only song able to throw "Love Yourself" out of #1...

NHS Choir 1 to 29 !!!! Biggest Drop For A Christmas Number One Single EVER ??????

AL

Alan Love

2

can't imagine many people heard it and thought 'i want to own that' - it was bought as some kind of tokenism rather than due to any musical quality or popularity.

avatar

0

I'm pretty certain it's the biggest drop for any number one single ever. From memory, the previous biggest fall was held jointly by Elvis and McFly (1-20)

avatar

Carl Mefkintallica Foxall

It iz the biggest drop ever

avatar

Carl Mefkintallica Foxall

It's the biggest drop from no. 1 by any single

that's the thing though. while i can't see the attraction of even his latest music, it is apparent that lots of people are both purchasing and listening to it week in week out - for a surprisingly ongoing period. it's not due to some campaign - it's growing virally - how ironic.

I Am A Stegosaurus

The most recent huge drop in the top 40 I can remember was that Union J song that went from 2 to 34.

It's terrible that the belieber virus hasn't been contained. The whole top 40 has come out in a horrific rash!

Wow isn't that the biggest drop from Number one ever? NHS Choir song that was Christmas No.1 has plummeted from 1 to 29! Yikes!

Yes, it's the biggest drop from no. 1 by any single

If you check out the "SALES ONLY Chart" which is how the main charts used to be compiled it has only dropped to No.14. So on a level playing field no records have been broken
