THERE'S NO ONE QUITE LIKE GRANDMA
by ST. WINIFRED'S SCHOOL CHOIR

Stockport-based primary school choir St Winifred's School Choir - one member of the choir included future Coronation Street actress Sally Lindsay - recorded this ode to everyone's favourite family member, which became a surprise festive chart-topper. Originally entering the chart at Number 47, There's No One Quite Like Grandma reached the top on its sixth week just in time to become 1980’s UK Christmas Number 1. It was the second consecutive Christmas Number 1 to feature a children’s choir, following Pink Floyd's yuletide chart victory in 1979 with Another Brick In The Wall Part 2.
