TIESTO

Tiesto (real name Tijs Michiel Verwest, born January 17, 1969) is a Dutch DJ and producer from Breda, The Netherlands. Urban Train became Tiesto's first UK Top 40 single in 2001, becoming his highest-charting song for a decade. Tiesto was named DJ Magazine's No.1 DJ for three consecutive years in 2002, 2003 and 2004 Tiesto was officially the first DJ to ever play in an Olympics opening ceremony when he performed during 2004's Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. That same year, Tiesto was named the 40th greatest citizen of Holland in the De Grootste Nederlander poll. In 2005, Tiesto's second studio album Just Be won him is first Edison Music Award, the Dutch equivalent of the BRIT Awards. Red Lights in 2014 became Tiesto's first Top 10 hit on the UK's Official Singles Chart, peaking at Number 6, only to be bettered three months later by Wasted ft. Matthew Koma which topped out at Number 3. In 2015, Tiesto won the GRAMMY Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remix of John Legend's Top 3 single All of Me. Tiesto has collaborated with huge names during his 20+ year career such as Post Malone, Rita Ora, Becky Hill, Snoop Dogg, Mabel, Katy Perry, John Legend and Busta Rhymes.
