Who is Perrie Edwards?

Perrie Edwards was born in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England on July 10 1993.

In 2011, Perrie auditioned for The X Factor series 8 as a soloist, before being placed into the group Little Mix alongside Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Little Mix became the first group to win the show in December 2011, going on to earn 32 UK Top 40 singles, including five Official Number 1s; Damien Rice cover Cannonball, Wings, Black Magic, Shout Out to My Ex and Sweet Melody.

The group also achieved seven UK Top 40 albums, including 2016 chart-topper Glory Days.

Following the band's hiatus announcement in 2021, Perrie began work on solo material with talent including frequent Little Mix collaborator Kamille, Fred again.. and Steve Mac (known hitmaker for the likes of Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and One Direction).

When is Perrie Edwards' debut solo single released?

Perrie is expected to release her debut solo single in early 2024, after announcing to fans on social media on February 12: "It's time!".

Speaking during the early stages of her solo recording sessions, Perrie told Official Charts: "It's all going really well, I'm just having so much fun experimenting with different sounds. It's just really good.

"I'm so lucky, I'm working with such amazing people. I'm really grateful."
