I really wanted Sophie to reach her first ever number one in UK!

By the way, some peak positions of many songs are wrong

My thoughts about Week 3 of the biggest year for music since, well, the last one.

  • Shock horror. The power of folk compels everyone, it seems.
  • Turns out I'm not the only one who thinks that Ariana scuffed her new tune. Because it's not gonna be No.1.
  • Can people stop listening to Teddy Swims? For my personal sakes?
  • D-Block Europe won't go away.
  • Neither will 21 Savage, but at least american dream has SOME quality to it.
  • Natasha Bedingfield appreciation post.
  • Flo Milli's probably wrapped up a Top 40 placing now.
  • Oh OK. I guess Tom Odell's back. Sure, fine. Whatever then.
  • Whoever thought signing the Wellerman guy was a good idea needs to be crucified by the end of 2024.
  • Honestly thought Bring Me The Horizon would fall further, to be honest.
  • Another week goes by, another sample of a popular tune fails to impress me. Ella Henderson can do SO much better than this. Then again, I've been saying that all decade.
  • Lil Nas X is past it. You heard it here first, ladies and gentlemen.
  • No one wants venbee back in the chart again. Not even you, Marshmello. Admit it.
  • So who is Michael Marcagi, and why should I care about him.
  • Yet another Bob Marley offspring is headed for the charts. No offence to YG, but I prefer Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley overall.
  • Guess The Last Dinner Party won't be having any Top 40 hits then.
  • Look. Liam. John. I know Ladbaby tumble loads every other year, but surely they can't have been TOO inspirational. Maybe then you'd be more likely to stay in the Top 100. Fools.

Please stream someone who didn't get TikTok famous through making half-baked ballads. Thank you. More on Friday.

Shame to see Ari off the top spot from yesterday, but not surprised.

Good that we’re finally getting a week with lots of debuts at least!

Hi Piran!

Shame to see Ari off the top spot from yesterday

Where can we see that? I guess not on this site, unless you work here?

Have a nice week.

Cheers + L&R,
Bam

Hey Bam! :)

'yes, and?' was leading in OCC's First Look article which was published yesterday at 7pm.

Here's the link to it: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/ariana-grande-yes-and-number-1-first-look-noah-kahan-battle/
