I see that there is loads more Christmas songs have re-entered this Chart which means there should be loads more in the Singles Chart this Friday. All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey could be #2 for a fourth time.

I'm genuinely impressed that 'River' kept its lead from yesterday, but that would be amazing to see Ellie Goulding close out the 2010's with a third #1 single! :)

Outside of Christmas, that massive gain for 'My Oh My' just below the Top 40 really took me by surprise! Looks like this is going to be Camila's next smash hit after all when the New Year arrives.

"River" at #1 is... quite bizarre, though this update, as well as the First Look one yesterday, hardly mean anything, as the Christmas songs are bound to get a huge boost tomorrow/on Christmas, plus Amazon are apparently a day ahead of the other streaming services with reporting data (?), so this is how we get this... quite unlikely result. Ellie has been consistently much lower on the official chart than the midweeks, so I think "River" going #1 is not going to happen, though it is going to be a close battle between Stormzy/Mariah, this one is genuinely hard to predict.

In any case, good to see the atrocity Ladbaby's song is falling as quickly as it can (could even be out of the top 40 by Friday!), and a whooping 53 festive songs in the top 100, 22 of which in the top 40! Also, "My Oh My" should be getting a video and a proper release in January, so that should boost it up even further - could really become a hit for Camila!

Yeah, we've still got another three days of sales & four days of streaming to go, so that's only about half the tracking week!

Don't forget, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' & 'Last Christmas' will be shifting much bigger streaming numbers over the next couple of days, although 'River' has the advantage of it being a Christmas song not affected by ACR.

It appears that 'My Oh My' would've been #20 this week if it weren't for Christmas, so this definitely looks to be at least a Top 10 hit whenever it's pushed to radio or gets a video! :O

Also, Mariah has a new video out for 'All I Want for Christmas Is You', and, along with her new physicals out, it could genuinely push her - but yeah, she's still on ACR, so it's going to be close, really. "River" is on SCR, but has the disadvantage of only being available on one platform - in any case, it will be very interesting to see where they end up on Friday, as the chart will probably look totally different than it is here!

And yeah, "My Oh My" is getting released to radio on the 6th of January, I presume that's when they're gonna release a video as well, and, as you said, could very well become a big hit, which will be very cool to see, considering "Romance" unfortunately never produced anything that big as a hit, apart from "Liar".

Yeah, 'River's probably going to be highest charting Christmas song of 2019 all because it's not on ACR, but without it, no doubt Mariah would be miles ahead! :/

'My Oh My' should become bigger than 'Liar' due to a slightly more organised single rollout & promotion, but I'm not expecting anything like 'Havana' nor 'Senorita' at the moment, haha.

Yeah, the ACR rules are becoming a bit too annoying - personally, for Christmas songs they're mostly fine, as otherwise the chart would be overflooded with those tracks a lot more than it is now, but otherwise it really ruins the natural flow of the chart. And sure, it makes it more interesting to follow, plus I don't really think a chart without ACR would be much better, but I think some things need to be ironed out, specifically with resets and songs forcefully removed from #1 - in any case, if Mariah ends up at #2 this week while obviously being the most popular track of the week (as I'm sure has happened in previous years too), then that clearly shows something's wrong.

Regardless, I don't think "River" will be higher than Mariah, or even Wham!; again, Amazon are quicker at reporting their data than Spotify/Apple, so this chart is more biased towards tracks higher up on Amazon - in the final chart, she should end up top 5, but not above the former two.

Looks like the Christmas songs got shuffled around a little but it's nice to see Ladbaby drop to 16 from 8 yesterday. Fingers crossed for Mariah to be #1 on Friday!
