Swedish House Mafia have announced they will be back with new music and a comeback tour in 2019.

Following a week-long countdown on their social media profiles, they announced the exciting news in a Facebook Live press conference yesterday (October 22). A concert date at Stockholm's Tele2 Arena on May 4, 2019 is the first date announced so far.

Speaking entirely in Swedish, the DJs didn't give details as to where or when any additional dates will occur but that they will be announcing more tour dates complete with new music.

Fans were devastated when the band called it quits in 2012 at the height of their fame. Earlier this year, they surprised attendees at Miami's Ultra Music Festival with a full set, setting rumours flying of a potential comeback.

Tickets for their Stockholm gig will be available from Saturday, October 27.

Previously, Swedish House Mafia held 5 UK top 10 singles including one Number 1 single with Don't You Worry Child, their final release ahead of their split.
